| The Great Frieze |
Shy
and retiring Snow worked hard throughout the night,
In silence, he secretly painted rooftops pure white,
Carefully crayoned over lawns, pencilled shrubs and trees:
Everything a dazzling shade of white on his great frieze;
In the morn, his masterpiece won critical acclaim;
By aft’noon, jealous Sun had wiped the canvas again. |
