Who can enter?
The competition is open to anyone, anywhere in the world who is aged 14 or over on the closing date.

What is the closing date?
The closing date for this competition is Saturday 31st may 2008

How and when can I enter?
Entry to the competition is free. You enter using the online submission system on this website. We regret that we CANNOT accept entries via email or post. You can enter any time from now until the closing date in May 2008. Entries received after that date will not be accepted.


What can I enter?
Entries must be your own work and be unpublished. You can enter all three categories upto 3 times each. Content should be appropriate for general public viewing.


Word counts are as follows: miniSTORIES 50 words or less, miniVERSE - between 25 and 75 words, HAIKU - any form of haiku is acceptable from traditional to contemporary western forms including the 'zip'.

All entries MUST be written in English. We regret that entries in any language other than English cannot be accepted.

Please note that titles are included in all word counts except Haiku.
How will the judging work?
The judging panel is made up of writers and representatives from our official sponsors. After the closing date all entries will go though a judging process from witch first, second and third place winners for each category will then be chosen.

What are the prizes?
First place in each category wins a cash prize as follows:
miniVERSE (£250)
miniSTORIES (£250)
HAIKU (£250)
(The prize money will include any base bank charges and transfer fees.)
Second and third place winners will be selected but there are no cash prizes for these.

technical stuff:
All entries must be original work. Copyright must belong to the person submitting the entry. Only previously unpublished work will be accepted. (By published we mean in a commercial or previous competition context. Work stored in open access online archives and community sites is acceptable.) We CANNOT accept entries via email or post. By entering you are agreeing to abide by these rules of the competition. The Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into with regards to the results.
